As you may have noticed, I’ve made significant changes to the dot song format. The reason is twofold: first, to make it more graphically accurate, and second, to improve it’s relationship to doing your own voicings from lead sheets. Which, in my opinion, should be your goal. Having that skill opens up a huge repertoire of songs to you.

This new format has also be licensed for use with the Method – so it’s ‘legal’. We’ve made a committment to make sure we’re abiding by copyright laws. Thus other dot songs will be created in the same format, licensed, and then offered for sale as separate products (which we’ll pay royalties on).

The old, ‘partial’ dot songs, will be retired. I hope you understand and support this decision. Creating the new formats is very time-consuming but now that I’ve ‘finished’ the new site, I should be able to get back to that.

I got some suggestions on ‘favorite dot songs’ from the old forum but if you have other thoughts, knowing that the current books will be reworked, please share your thoughts. I’d like to settle on four songs to begin with. As always, thanks for your help.

I’ve started the process to get the rights to publish the first set of revised dot songs. Here’s the first group:
      “Over the Rainbow”
      “Someone to Watch Over Me”
      “When I Fall in Love”
      “The Christmas Song”
