Voicing a song and don’t really like that the dominant voicing for a chord / melody note sounds very dissonant to my ears. I remember somewhere Suds, while voicing, said something about how a particular voicing was too dissonant. My question is: how do we gauge how a particular voicing sounds too dissonant vs. an acceptable level of dissonance?
Thanks
